Medieval Tudor Courtyard
This courtyard began life as a large
arched wooden door which I had
made and had no immediate use for.
The door has false planks, distressed
battens, bronze door pull , hinges
and is stained in oak.
The door, now in place in the
courtyard, is non openable.
The courtyard walls are plastered
and have a creamy/ tan finish.
One of the walls has an arched window cutout with
a clay brick surround.
Clay slate paving in a slightly darker shade to the
walls, has mossy grass areas with flower petal litter
on either side, which helps to form a winding
patway from the front to the door at the back.
Tall reedy plants and yellow flowers frame the door
, whilst the window boasts yellow
roses and orange and yellow flowers,
tall , climbing and twisting their way
through the window.
On both sides of the courtyard are
assorted orange and yellow bushes.
The top of the
courtyard is edged
with oak stained trim
and the corners
topped with small button finials.
The front sides of the courtyard have
wooden, stained beaded trim.
Two black, battery operated LED
wall lamps are included.
Against the back wall is a lovely oak
stained wooden settle with a shapely
back rest and tudor style square trim
along the front.
I have made a removeable padded
cushion covered in a brownish red
tudor print and trimmed with a gold
metallic fringe.
This fabric matches the fabric I have
used on other chairs available to
order.
The settle is 17 cm l , 11.5 cm h at its tallest point and 3 cm d.
On the right wall is an arched wooden frieze/shelf. It has a plaster
finished front in light brown tones and a shelf with a rounded edge trim.
An elaborate clay leaf adorns the back of the frieze and a little basket of
yellow flowers sits on the shelf.
This piece can either be left on the ground or hung
on the wall.
It measures 6 cm w, 11 cm h at its highest point
and 4.7 cm d.
Both the settle and frieze are available seperately.
The room measures 41 cm l, 28.5 cm d and 26 cm
h.
