A mahogany stained confessional has a fully opening front to reveal a painted cream interior The confessional is divided by a wooden screen with a laser cut see through upper section. Each side of the divider has a little shelf with filigree brackets holding a printed Bible. The confessional has two chairs with tall back panels topped with a turned pediment , and each chair is engraved with a cross. A rich dark burgundy padded velvet carpet covers the floor, whilst two gorgeous murals adorn the ceiling. The room also has two double brass working candle sconces and two wall plaques. These are painted in cream with mahogany stained turned posts and a central cross. Each cross is decorated with a pale pink paper rose. The opening front has two identical arched cut outs. One has a working door with bronze metal hinges and handle. The other has a velvet, burgundy curtain with burgundy trim and gold metallic rope tassel to hold the curtain aside. On the other side, the curtain is trimmed at the top with fine pink cord and a pair of small tassels. A gold chain on a fleur de lis plate holds a set of keys. The exterior has a stunning wooden scroll flourish at the top, from which hangs two metallic gold tassels decorated with a cream paper rose and a cross shaped bouquet of cream lillies sits between the two doors. The confessional sits on a double tiered wooden platform, carpeted in the same burgundy velvet and edged with a fancy burgundy and gold trim. A pair of brass candlestands holding clay candles is included. Two little wooden kneelers, stained in mahogany, with padded burgundy velvet cushions and round feet, sit at the front of the display. Choices of stain and velvet colour are available. The confessional measures 19.5cm w, and 26cm h at the highest point. The larger tier is 26cm d and 26cm w. The smaller tier is 26cm w and 14cm d. The kneelers are 5.5cm w and 4cm d. Note: Some photographs are taken with a flash. The velvet is dark burgundy, not pink as it appears in the flash photos.
